Synopsis

Billy
A musical based on Billy Liar by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall

Book by Dick Clement and Ian la Frenais
Music by John Barry
Lyrics by Don Black

Billy Fisher lives with Mum, Dad and Gran in Yorkshire and is an undertaker's clerk - but in his mind he is President of Ambrosia, a film star, a scriptwriter - and anything else glamorous that happens to occur to him! However, nobody else believes him, certainly neither Barbara nor Rita, to both of whom he has promised marriage, though there is only one engagement ring! He frantically tries to lie his way out, so he can run away with Liz, the only girl who understands him, but we know he'll never quite make it.

Doors open at 7:30pm, please don't plan to arrive before 7:30pm because we may still be setting up and will have to ask you to wait outside for safety reasons.

Seating is around tables of eight, please feel free to bring your own drinks and nibbles and a group of mates and make yourselves at home. Tea and coffee is available during the interval.

We have a ramp for disabled access, accessible toilets and a hearing loop available. Our front of house team are happy to help when you arrive, though it's helpful if you let us know in advance if you have a wheelchair user in your party so we can ensure there is enough space around your table before you arrive.
