October 2026 Production
Murder in the Mine
Murder In The Mine (or A Matter of Slate and Death) is the 5th in a comic murder mystery series written and directed by Christine Woodhead.
A group of disparate passengers, including a nun, a German tourist, a couple of slate ‘enthusiasts’ and a pensioner who possibly just got on the wrong bus, along with their tour guide, set off on a guided tour of a slate mine in Wales. Little do they realise that not all of them will make it back to the surface. Trapped underground revelations and incriminations abound as the survivors await rescue. But one thing’s for sure - it will take a miracle to catch the killer.
The play follows the same format as our previous murder mystery series, with the audience having a chance to question the suspects and guessing who the murderer is.
